Program overview
The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is an offline exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor positions in Karnataka’s universities and colleges. It is an examination conducted by the University of Mysore. The Government of Karnataka has designated the same University as the Nodal Agency for conducting the examination. Being recognized by the UGC, KSET is imperative for those who aspire to achieve their career in teaching roles across Karnataka.
The exam consists of two objective-type papers conducted in a single session, with no negative marking:
- Paper I: 50 general teaching and research aptitude questions for 100 marks (1-hour duration).
- Paper II: 100 subject-specific questions for 200 marks (2-hour duration)
