About GATE

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted in India that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. It is the eligibility test for admission into various Masters Programs and for jobs in Public Sector Companies. This entrance exam is now also conducted for Arts and Humanities subjects, English being one of them.

GATE is also a qualifying exam for pursuing a Ph.D. in English from the central universities of India.

Program overview

This program is designed for students looking to quickly master the basics of English Literature for SET or similar competitive exams. Students who are beginners, looking for a pilot course and those who are advanced learners seeking a revision course find this useful.

The course covers quick revision of every major era of English Literature in depth – from the Greco-Roman period to the contemporary period. This includes the major movements, authors, their works and writing styles of each era. The course also dives into the development of the English language, and the various socio-political influences from the time of Plato to postmodernism. The program includes literature from several countries such as America, India, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Ireland.

PAPER 2

WEEKLY DIVISION

All live revision classes for SET batches will be clubbed together. This is a two-month cycle. When a new SET course starts, the participants will get classes and activities on whatever topics are being covered that week, and they will continue from there. At the end of the two-month cycle, they will get the Model Tests in their Telegram / WhatsaApp group.
