About NET English Literature
NTA NET (also called UGC NET or NTA-UGC-NET) is the national examination for determining the eligibility for the post of assistant professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship award in Indian universities and colleges. People who come within the top 6 percentile in NET are declared eligible for Lectureship.
June 24 onwards, NET candidates will be declared eligible in 3 categories
Category 1– Eligible for admission to PhD with JRF and appointment as Assistant professor
Category 2– Eligible for admission to PhD without JRF and appointment as Assistant professor
Category 3– Eligible for PhD only
Program overview
This program offers thorough Online Preparation for UGC NET English. It is for students who love English Literature and want to become scholars of literature. It is designed to give a thorough grounding in the subject that will equip you to excel in UGC NET English and similar exams in English literature and define a career in this field.
The course covers every major era of English Literature in depth – from the Greco-Roman period to the contemporary period. This includes the major movements, authors, their works and writing styles of each era. The course also dives into the development of the English language, and the various socio-political influences from the time of Plato to postmodernism. The program includes literature from several countries such as America, India, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Ireland.
